Shernyl Burns Represents MFA at 2026 Concacaf Venue and Match Coordinator Course
The Montserrat Football Association is pleased to announce that Shernyl Burns represented the MFA at the 2026 Concacaf Venue and Match Coordinator Course, held from 21–24 May 2026 in Mexico City, Mexico.
The in-person course was designed to train and equip selected individuals to effectively perform the role of Venue and Match Coordinator for Concacaf competitions. Participants received key knowledge, tools, and resources to support the facilitation, operation, and management of football matches in keeping with Concacaf’s required standards.
Speaking on Shernyl’s participation, Acting General Secretary Thandie Williams, stated that Shernyl is one of a few key individuals identified by the MFA to work in this important area, as the Association continues to develop local personnel, strengthen internal capacity, and expose individuals to higher levels of football administration and match operations.
“This investment in training forms part of our broader commitment to building a stronger local football structure, ensuring that Montserrat has trained personnel who can support the delivery of matches and competitions at both local and regional standards.”
Shernyl’s participation is an important step in supporting the MFA’s efforts towards resuming the hosting of home matches and introducing various local leagues on island. The skills and experience gained from this course will contribute to improved match-day operations, competition delivery, and overall football development in Montserrat.
The Montserrat Football Association thanks Shernyl for his willingness and looks forward to the positive contribution he will make to football operations on island.
