The Montserrat Football Association was represented at the 2026 Concacaf W Professional Football Development Seminar, held in Mexico City, Mexico from May 22–23, 2026.
Representing the MFA were Acting General Secretary, Ms. Thandie Williams, and Normalisation Committee Member, Ms. Ytannia Wiggins.
The seminar brought together Member Associations from across the Concacaf region for important discussions on the continued growth and professionalization of women’s football. Key areas included development strategies and Concacaf’s wider plans for strengthening the women’s game across the region.
For the MFA, participation in the seminar provided valuable exposure to regional best practices and practical approaches that can support the development of football for girls and women in Montserrat. It also created opportunities for networking, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration with other Member Associations working toward similar goals.
The MFA intends to place greater focus on creating opportunities for girls and women to participate, develop, and thrive within football. This includes strengthening pathways for players, coaches, administrators and clubs, while continuing to build a more inclusive and sustainable football environment locally.
The Montserrat Football Association remains committed to advancing football for girls and women and ensuring that Montserrat benefits from regional knowledge, collaboration, and development opportunities.
